Who We Are
About Us
Promise Church began in 2007 with a small group of people who hoped for a new and different church-going experience. Some had experienced difficult situations in a traditional congregation, some were looking for an additional worship experience, and some had never set foot in a church before. We began with a year-long study of the Book of Acts. Then we looked hard at models of the early church. Being a small group we thought of worship settings outside of a traditional church building. From this, the church in a box was born.
We are a church affiliated with the Pilgrim Association of the United Church of Christ. We chose the UCC because of their open and affirming stance, their concern for mission, and their social outreach.
